Statement of Faith
We believe in one God, the creator of all things, infinite, perfect, and eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Isaiah 44:6-8; Mark 12:29; Deut. 6:4; Isaiah 43: 10: Matt. 28:19: John 1: 1-3).
We believe Jesus Christ was true God and true man, and born to the virgin Mary (Isaiah 7:14; Matt. 1:23; Isaiah 9:6). We believe in His sinless life, His miraculous ministry, His death on the cross as atonement for our sins, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven to serve as our intercessor before the Father, and in His literal return to the earth at the Second coming (John 1: 14; Hebrews 7:25,26, Tit 2:13, Mt 24:30).
We believe the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son, seals the believer, comforts and counsels the believer, fills the believer, empowers, equips and sanctifies the believer (John 15:26, Eph: 1: 13, John 14:16, Eph. 5:18, Acts 1: 8, 1 Corinthians 12:7, 1 Corinthians 6:11).
We believe the Holy Bible, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired Word of God, inerrant in the autographs, the entire revelation of God's will for man, and is infallible authority for life (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:21).
We believe in salvation only through the blood of Jesus Christ by faith. Man was created in the image of God but by voluntary transgression fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ (Rom. 3:23; Rom. 10: 13-15; Eph. 2:8- John 3:3-8; 1 John 1:7-9). We enter the family of God by an experience called the "New Birth" as Jesus taught Nicodemus in John, chapter 3.
We believe in water baptism by immersion, as Christ commanded (Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:48; Acts 2:38).
We believe the Lord's Supper is a memorial to the sacrifice of Jesus' body and blood (Luke 22,17-20, 1 Corinthians 11:24-26).
We believe that the pursuit of a godly life is the will of God (I Thessalonians 4:1-3, Ephesians 4:1, 2 Corinthians 7:1, 6:1-18).
We believe that death seals the eternal destiny of each person. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, and that at the final judgment, unbelievers will be separated from God into condemnation. Believers will be received into God's loving presence and rewarded for their faithfulness to Him in this life (John 5:28-29, 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10, John 5:28-29).
We believe that the church is the spiritual body consisting of all true believers. We believe that the church's global and local mission is to witness for Jesus Christ and to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe that church leadership is responsible to keep the churches goals true to the Biblical mission and to equip its members to grow in Christ and minister to one another. We believe that every member is a gifted minister, and the church's commitment to ministry, fellowship, worship and prayer must be guided with a view to the discipleship of each person (Acts 1:8, Matt, 28:19, Colossians 3:16, Eph. 4:11-16, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Romans 12:4-8, 1 Corinthians 12:1-3 1).
